OK.. I'm back....

and I think, mind you, that is the KEY word, figured this out. Not really sure... but as long as it does the trick, who cares?

I was looking through my pictures, and came across these. Hubby is growing grapes in the back yard...he's trying to get them to grow over the archwa
y that is out by the pond with the koi. Nice looking grapes, huh? They are really sweet too. He's got a green thumb with everything he grows. He's got strawberries, tomatoes, grapes, peaches, oranges, grapefruit, peppers, green beans, and I think some raspberries growing out back in his little 'farm' area. I guess you just can't take the country out of the man, huh? LOL

WOW....such a simple thing........

or so I thought. I guess that eventually, I will get the hang of this 'blogging' thing. Couldn't find out where to sign on to add another post. ((eyeroll)) How stupid is that?? LOL

Duane totally spoils me rotten. He certainly overdid himself this year for Christmas. I had so many gifts under the tree, that it was kinda embarassing. He got me things like a 1-carat diamond 'Circle Of Love' pendant, a pair of 1-carat diamond studs, a pair of 1/4-carat diamond and garnet earrings, a $300 gift certificate to The MOTHERLODE (scrapbook store), that Big Notch tool thingy, a TON of bazzill, lots and lots of embellishments, then he tops it off with a HUGE bottle of White Diamonds parfume. He says he got me that so that he could 'bathe' me in diamonds. ::giggle::

Went back to work yesterday, UGH!! I will be so happy when I retire. That place is just driving me nuts. Duane said that I could 'retire' anyday....but if we are going to buy another house in 2006, then I need $$ to decorate it. Oh Joy!!

The Day After Christmas

I have thought for a long time now about starting a blog, but just didn't have the time. Hubby suggested that I start today, since I am home and a bit bored. So.....here I am.

We had a GREAT Christmas. My son and granddaughter came over for the morning and brought gifts. Duane was quite excited to give my son his gift, a nice .40cal Smith & Wesson. Robert was needless to say estatic. I guess the 2 guys will be off to the range in the next week or two.

I made the cutest recipe lunch tin for my daughter. Her kitchen is done in black n white, so I went with the theme. From what my granddaughter says, she just loves it. I also included some original recipes of my mom's, so I know that she will like that.

We got my granddaughter the DVD player that she wanted, but I think she liked the jeans and blouses more that Duane had picked out for her. I can't beleive how skinny that girl is. She's soon to be 13 and still wears a size 7. She is growing up so fast into a most beautiful young lady.

We bought my brother NASCAR tickets for the race in February along with pit passes. He is so thrilled just loves them. I didn't know how to present the tickets to him, so I just scrapped him a card, bought some awesome embellishments from my LSS, VIOLA.....I will have to post the card later.

All in all... our Christmas was GREAT.
